âś… The overall success rate of defectors has declined from over 25% before 2004 to around 15% since 2009. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 38 out of 264 defectors (14.4%) won. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, only 35 out of 205 defectors (17%) won their seats.
